What is mail forwarding?

Mail forwarding is used by people who do not have a fixed address. Eg: International travelers, Grey Nomads, RV and Caravan travelers etc. Mail4ward provides an address to where they can have their mail sent and stored while they travel Australia. All mail is stored in a secure building within a fireproof filing cabinet and is sent to the address the client chooses at their convenience.

 

How does Mail4ward work?

Simply fill in the Registration Form or online Registration Form, send it to us along with payment and we will take care of all your mail as you travel around Australia.

For Australian residents and businesses, you will have to subscribe to Australia Posts redirection service in person at your local Post Office if your mail is already registered with an existing Australian address. You can download the form here. Ensure you read the Terms & Conditions first and then click on 'Accept Terms & Conditions' at the bottom of the page.

How often is my mail forwarded?

Your mail is forwarded every 2 weeks by default unless otherwise stated on your Registration Form. This can be changed to any duration you wish and at any time by informing us via email or SMS.

 

How long will my Postage Deposit last?

The Postage Deposit is used to cover the cost of forwarding your mail. Naturally, the more mail you receive and the more often it is forwarded to you, the quicker it will be used up. When it reaches $15, we will contact you asking for it to be topped up so we can continue forwarding your mail.

 

How is my mail sent?

All mail is sent via Australian Post in the most appropriate envelope. If required, you can request your mail to be sent by registered post, express post or couriered straight to you. Let us know which option suits you best.

 

How do I pay?

Payment can be made by credit card (through PayPal- enquiries@mail4ward.com.au. $2 surcharge to be added), cheque, money order or bank deposit (Please contact us for lodgement details).

 

I am traveling with a partner/friend, can we use the same account?

Yes. Two people can use the same account as long as they use the same reference number in all correspondence and have completed separate Registration Forms.

 

What items are deemed illegal or prohibited?

Australia Post has a web page for all items they deem illegal and are not to be sent through the postal system. It can be found here.

 

How will I receive my mail?

Mail4ward will ensure to use the most economical and cheapest way to forward your mail. Depending on the level of urgency, you can choose to have your mail forwarded by Courier, Express Post or Registered Post.

 

Do you do use Post Restante?

Yes. Post Restante is where we forward your mail to the Post Office of a location you know you will be travelling through in the future. It can be collected upon arrival with adequate identification. Handy if you don't have an accommodation address for us just yet.

Do you have a sample user account so I can see how the login account works?

Yes. The username and password are both 'demo'. You will have access to a login account that you can view all your received mail, faxes and a statement of how much Postage Deposit has been used to date and your current balance. Many features such as copy, delete, rename, download, upload and move have been disabled for this demo account but these are avalible once you have registered for your own individual account.

 

How can I ensure my online account stays secure?

In order to keep your online account secure, you should never leave the computer unattended while logged in and keep your spyware and antivirus software up to date. Try to avoid using shared computers (such as internet cafes) but if you have no other alternative,you should delete all 'cookies', saved passwords, browsing and download history and the cache. When does my registration begin?

Your registration begins when we receive your first piece of mail. You can advise others of your new address prior to commencing your travels.

 

Can I upgrade from Basic to Premium/Premium to Business?

Yes, you can upgrade at any time. Simply contact us and we will calculate the difference based on the time remaining.
